Guam - Sept 1945 Released: Marine Private First Class Frank
Nichols., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Nichols, 801 Hickory St.,
Centralia, Ill., was released from a Jap prison camp after 44
months of confinement. He told of theft by the Japs of food from
American Red Cross boxes. Ill treatment of prisoners was the
rule and not the exception, according to Nichols. |
