| The above pictures were taken on the day Japan signed the surrender documents aboard the USS Missouri. At the conclusion, the men sang The Star Spangled Banner then God Save the King. The men hired a local Japanese photographer and copies were made for those who had sufficient "yen." High resolution scans are available. | ||
