Changi - Americans

Main Camp List    Main Index

This is NOT a complete list of those who "passed through" Changi but those known to have been there after their return from working on the Death Railway. Among the prisoners in Changi were men of the 131st Texas Field Artillery [The Lost Battalion] that had been surrendered in Java, the survivors of the cruiser USS Houston, a few flyers who were shot down over the hump, and the survivors of the MS Sawokla.

Roster of 2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery (see also this Java Parties PDF for work party rosters)

List of survivors of USS Houston - includes other ships: Sawokla, Humphrey and Hovey (see also this Java Parties PDF for work party rosters)
