POW REPORT NO. 10
Camp: TOKYO - YOKOHAMA AREA NO. 15 3335N - 13945E
Mission No: 315 POW M2
Date Flown: 30 August 1945
Omori camp, situated on an Island, has one main gate, 13 barracks
and a wooden fence surrounding camp (coverage is not complete). Four persons
are visible, three outside and one within the compound. Lettering on building
is as follows: "THANK YOU, DROP OUTSIDE"; "500 MEN" (No. 500 not clear);
"SHUTES BREAKING DOT?" (DOT? Not clear); "DROP ON TARGET OUTSIDE CAMP";OMORI
CAMP, WE THANK YOU"; "PAPPY BOYINGTON HERE"; "PW"; "PW". One break in roof
caused (probably) by dropping boxes.
One chute with rack and/or boxed unattached dropping over water, two chutes
dropping in vicinity or target, one with boxes attached, the other party
out of photo. Two racks falling free, and two chutes in the water located
approximately 200 and 500 feet from the island.

Camp: NIIGATA Sub Camp No. 5 3756N - 13905E

A corner of a PW camp in vicinity of Niigata is revealed by photos. Visible
is an irregular fenced in area, the ?? of which is comprised of approximately
9 barracks type buildings and other small buildings. "PW", "5B" is painted
on one building's roof. One other "PW" sign situated on the roof of another
building.
Numerous persons are visible both within and without the fenced in area.
No chutes are visible.
One hole appears on the roof of one of the buildings, possibly caused by
free falling equipment.
This was an assigned target.

POW REPORT NO. 42
Camp: OMINI 3601N - 13815E
Mission No: 73 POW M12
Date Flown: 7 September 1945
Camp is fenced in rectangular area located in open country on the edge of
a wooded grove. Six one-story buildings of barracks type plus six smaller
huts placed in one corner of the area. The camp is located approximately
1000 yards from a highway and a road connects the camp to it. There is one
main gate located at this road. Two additional gates are located on the opposite
side of the area. Guard posts are located at the main gate and at one of
the other gates. Following is spelled out in yard between buildings: WELCOME,
OFF 2 NITE, THANK YOU. PW lettered on one roof.
Supplies landed in an area extending from inside enclosure to approximately
500 yards to one side. Approximately 30 POW's noted. Assigned target.
POW REPORT NO. 43
Camp: OMINI 3601N - 13412E
Mission No: 73 POW M12
Date Flown: 7 September 1945
Poor quality of photos limits interpretation. Large camp contains approximately
20 barracks type buildings in a trapezoidal shaped area enclosed by high
wooden fence. There are guard posts at each corner. Large PW sign is visible
on one roof. Just outside area is a circle with arrow through it marked on
the ground.
No POW's noted. Supplies landed in area indicated by arrow. Assigned target.

Crew unable to find target. Made drop along highway at 3526N - 14002E.
Estimated 8 parachutes fully and/or partially opened are visible along highway.

Camp situated in small shacks among closely planted trees. Buildings arranged
in four rows of about 10 huts each. No fence noted. No persons visible. Eleven
chutes are visible dropping from A/C. Seventy-two packages were actually
dropped.

Large PW sign visible on two buildings. Quality of photos prevents detailed
interpretation of camp. No count of POW's possible. All supplies probably
landed within 1000 feet of camp. Assigned target for this mission.

POW REPORT NO. 12
Camp: TOKYO - YOKOHAMA AREA NO. 17 3530N - 13940E
Mission No: 315 POW M2
Date Flown: 30 August 1945
Photos reveal interior of PW camp edge of a town. Camp with 8 barracks is
surrounded by a wooden fence, and one main gate is visible. Approximately
25 persons are standing in the PW compound. Inscriptions on the roofs of
the PW buildings are as follows: "P", "W", "MOVED", "Coffee?"
Possibly 3 chutes just released over target and 2 chutes on ground within
target area. Boxes in compound are possibly supplies dropped.
POW REPORT NO. 15
Camp: TOKYO - YOKOHAMA AREA NO. 13 3552N - 13939E
Mission No: POW M1, POW M2
Date Flown: 29, 30 August 1945
The POW camp appears to be a small inclosed area within a very large fenced
in warehouse area. Approximately 100 persons scattered outside the POW compound.
Camp consists of five buildings, one of which has "PW" inscribed on the roof.
Another "PW" sign has been painted on the roof of a warehouse type building,
not in the POW area.
Eight chutes with boxes are dropping in the vicinity of the POW area. Three
chutes and 6 boxes already on the ground in POW compound. In addition, an
estimated 25 chutes are within 400 ft. of the POW area, and 8 holes exist
in roofs of warehouse type buildings outside POW area, possibly caused by
free falling equipment. Also 2 splashes in small pond possibly indicates
falling boxes.
POW REPORT NO. 13
Camp: TOKYO - YOKOHAMA NO. 270 3351N - 13940E

Date Flown: 30 August 1945
The camp consists of a large Estate-type building, apparently not surrounded
by a fence. One main gate is located several hundred feet from POW building
on the main road leading away from the camp. No persons are visible.
Inscriptions on the roofs of the building areas follow: "Thank you Guys",
"PW", "only 56 men here", "Bob Kayo Slim ain't here", "you're big hearted",
"Lend me a Kodak Romeo Corm."
No dropping or dropped supplies visible.
