No. 23953 - AP/HUY Extracts from the VA 13 OSAKA PW Internment Camp Report for 1945 (from 1 June to 30 June) Summary of the transfer of the OSAKA PW Internment Sub-Camp (BUNSHO) No. 2 (formerly Sub-Camp No. 1) due to war damage. 1. General Facts The destruction by fire of this Sub-Camp No. 1 (KOBE) and its infirmary due to the bombing of the OSAKA-KOBE area on the 1st and 5th June is truly regrettable. This Sub-Camp and the infirmary attached to Sub-Camp No. 1 (KOBE) were temporarily moved to the former Sub-Camp No. 13 (TSUMORI) and to the former Detached Camp (HAKENSHO) No. 5 (KAWASAKI) respectively. Since then, Sub-Camp No. 1 was moved on 21 June to the former Sub-Camp No. 18 (WAKI NO HAMA). Note: The location of the former Detached Camp No.5 is KOBE-Shi, HAYASHIDA-Ku, MURUYAMA-Machi, 2-Chome, 1.
