Urwin, Rutgers University The following Wake Marines were transferred to a hospital in Shanghai (Assumed to be St. Luke's) on 8 May 1945 (the rest of the inmates from Kiangwan were shipped north to Fengtai): Pl. Sgt. William D. Beck Cpl. Robert E. Lee Pfc. William Krenistki Pfc. Harris L. Mercer Pfc. LeRoy Moritz Four of these men are in the photo (discounting the two civilian Contractors), but I can't tell you who is who. I will try to get a handle on which Contractors were left behind in May of 1945. (Contact us if you recognize these men)
